The WCM (World Class Manufacturing) is a program for the optimization of the productive and logistic cycle, which aims to increase its performances through the elimination of wastes and losses, a system applicable through the implementation of a series of activities grouped in three main thematic groups, called Pylons. Safety
Aims to prevent accidents and hazards through the elimination of unsafe actions and environments which may cause them.
Cost Deployment
Starting from the transformation cost, analyzes the losses of the single processes and, through an activity of prioritization and stratification, guides the whole program and the other pylons toward the choice of the problems to be tackled.
Focused Improvement
Aims to the standardization of the activities and the spread of the method, promotes the basics of the program and guides the activities of problem solving tackling the losses with a focused approach.
Workplace Organization
Aims to improve the workstations to eliminate "no value" activities and reduce the unsaturation.
Autonomous Maintenance
Aims to increase technical efficiency of the plants through the elimination of quickened degradation and the restoration and maintenance of basic conditions.
Professional Maintenance
Aims to increase the plants technical efficiency through the elimination of breakdowns due to lack of maintenance and the implementation of a predictive and pre-emptive maintenance system.
Quality Control
Aims to analyze and eliminate the production of non-compliant products, due to Man, Method, Material and Machine's problems, through the implementation of problem solving and standard upkeep activities and process capabilities.
Logistics
Focuses on the optimization of internal and external logistic flows, aiming to deliver the right piece, of the right quality, in the right quantity, at the right time and in the right place.
Early Equipment Management
Aims to optimize the industrialization processes to guarantee a stable and consistent start-up of the plants, respecting time and budgets issues, as well as the standards set by the other pylons.
People Development
Aims to support the other pylons in the implementation of the WCM program, through the elimination of educational gaps, the reduction of absences and the promotion of the operators proactivness.
Environment
Aims to spread, within the Company, the culture of environmental protection, focusing on activities targeted for the lowering of emissions and wastes.
Energy
Aims to reduce the environmental impact of the processes through activities which reduce the wastes and the energy needs.
