Highly complex sheet metal components.
Streparava SMT manufactures sheet metal components for automotive and agricultural applications.
This expertise became part of the Group in 2023, bringing the key stages of the process — pressing, assembly, welding and machining — together within a single manufacturing operation.
Distances are reduced, handovers are minimised and the production chain becomes less fragmented, improving continuity, stability and control over the finished component.
The suspension crossmember for the Iveco Daily is a clear example: Streparava SMT’s core product is a complex component weighing approximately 35–40 kg, made up of several pressed and assembled parts of different sizes. One of the clearest examples of this integration of manufacturing processes.

Multiple operations, one process.
From the receipt of steel strip or coils through to surface treatments, Streparava SMT oversees the material throughout its transformation.
Pressing and deep drawing are carried out using mechanical and hydraulic presses with capacities ranging from 30 to 1,700 tonnes.
A total of 17 presses, including one robotic press, handle different part numbers and sizes. The dies are manufactured by external suppliers from customer drawings or co-designed with Streparava SMT, allowing component geometry and manufacturing requirements to shape one another from the earliest stages.

Welding is a special process carried out in robotic cells, in either single or twin configurations (two robots operating simultaneously), producing safety-critical welds that must meet strict parameters. The process demands exceptional precision: continuous machine fine-tuning is essential to ensure component stability.

Streparava SMT also serves external customers: it can develop sheet metal components requiring several coordinated manufacturing stages while maintaining control over the entire process.
