Engineering the intelligence behind vehicle dynamics.
The automotive industry is entering a new era driven by electrification, connectivity and software-defined vehicles.
For companies working with chassis and suspension systems, this shift is more than technological: it’s changing how vehicles are designed, controlled and used.
Streparava sees this change as an opportunity to expand its role, evolving from a supplier of mechanical systems into a development partner for integrated vehicle dynamics solutions.
With a pragmatic approach focused on industrialisation, we combine decades of experience in mechanical engineering, suspension systems and manufacturing processes with new expertise in sensing systems, control systems and intelligent vehicle functions, while retaining our strong industrial DNA.

e-Shock
Accelerating the transition from mechanics to mechatronics.
The investment in e-Shock marks a strategic step in this direction.
Together with e-Shock, a specialist in advanced vehicle dynamics and control systems, Streparava is developing expertise in:
- semi-active and active suspension systems
- vehicle dynamics algorithms
- traction and braking control
- integrated sensing systems
- connectivity-enabled functions
- AI-assisted vehicle control applications
The aim isn’t to become a software company, but to integrate intelligence wherever it adds real value to vehicle performance, safety and efficiency.
This collaboration makes it possible to accelerate learning, experiment rapidly and bring advanced mechatronic solutions closer to scalable industrial production.
Rob.Y
A laboratory on wheels for the future of mobility.
One of the key outcomes of this collaboration is Rob.Y, the autonomous electric digital rolling chassis developed with e-Shock.
Rob.Y is a fully functional modular platform that integrates:
- chassis architecture
- suspension systems
- actuators
- sensors
- integrated control systems
- connectivity technologies
More than a prototype, Rob.Y is a living lab designed to validate technologies at the complete vehicle level.
It enables Streparava to:
- reduce development times
- test new control strategies
- validate intelligent chassis functions
- accelerate the transition from experimentation to industrial application
Through Rob.Y, research is transformed into engineering expertise and industrial capability.

OBWE
Turning experimentation into industrial solutions.
The first industrial application to emerge from this development programme is OBWE (On-Board Weighing Equipment).
OBWE is a proprietary ECU-based software solution that estimates axle loads under static and dynamic conditions using advanced sensing systems and machine learning algorithms.
The system achieves over 95% accuracy, in line with forthcoming regulatory requirements, and has already been validated on several vehicle platforms.
Beyond weight estimation, OBWE also enables:
- more advanced vehicle control strategies
- load-adaptive dynamic functions
- opportunities for predictive maintenance
- advanced management of fleet and vehicle data
Recognised with an innovation award in 2022, OBWE shows how experimentation, backed by strong industrial expertise, can lead to scalable technologies ready for real-world applications.

From mechanics to intelligent systems.
For Streparava, mechatronics isn’t a departure from its established identity.
It’s the natural evolution of Streparava’s engineering culture: integrating mechanical systems, sensing systems and control systems to develop the next generation of vehicle dynamics systems as the mobility sector continues to evolve.
